Registration, vote-by-mail and early-voting deadlines for every 2026 Florida election, from the Florida Division of Elections. Your county may add early-voting days, so confirm sites and hours with your Supervisor of Elections.

2026 Florida General Election

— Statewide general election for governor, Cabinet, U.S. House, the Florida Legislature, local offices and proposed constitutional amendments.

  1. Registration deadline

    Last day to register to vote. Registered voters can still update an address or name after this date.

  2. 5 p.m. local time

    Vote-by-mail request deadline

    Last day to ask for a mail ballot to be sent to you. Completed ballots must be received, not postmarked, by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

  3. Early voting (required statewide)

    Counties may also open as early as Oct. 19 and stay open through Nov. 1. Check your county for sites and hours.

  4. 7 a.m.–7 p.m. local time

    General Election Day

    Polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time (Central in much of the Panhandle). Anyone in line at 7 p.m. can vote. Mail ballots must be received, not postmarked, by 7 p.m.

  5. 5 p.m. local time

    Ballot cure and provisional-ballot deadline

    Last day to fix a mail-ballot signature problem or give your Supervisor of Elections evidence of eligibility for a provisional ballot.

2026 Florida Primary Election

— Statewide primary for governor, Cabinet, Congress, the Legislature and local offices. Florida primaries are closed: only voters registered with a party can vote in that party’s primary, though nonpartisan races and universal primaries are open to everyone.

    Last day to register to vote or change party affiliation for the primary.

  2. 5 p.m. local time

    Vote-by-mail request deadline

    Last day to ask your Supervisor of Elections to mail you a ballot.

  3. Early voting (required statewide)

  4. 7 a.m.–7 p.m. local time
